Configure letter templates

Configuring letter templates refers to the process of customizing and setting up standardized formats and content for various types of letters or correspondence used within an organization. It involves creating template designs and defining placeholders or variables that can be dynamically populated with specific information when generating letters.

The Letter Options page in the greytHR Admin login helps you to customize your letter templates. You can set the header & footer as per your requirements. The page displays the following tabs:

  1. General

  2. Header

  3. Footer

To view the Letter Options page, click Settings icon > System Settings > Letter > Letter Options.

You can perform the following actions on the Letter Options page:

  1. Customize the date format for the letter template.

  2. Customize the header for the letter template.

  3. Customize the footer for the letter template.

⚠️ We recommend you to contact the greytHR support team before making any changes in settings.

Customize date format for letter template

  1. On the Letter Options page, click the General tab. A form appears.

  2. From the Date Format dropdown list, select the required date format which you want on the letter template.

  3. Click Save to customize the date format.

Customize the header for the letter template

  1. On the Letter Options page, click the Header tab. A form appears.

  2. Double-click the required option under the Name column from the table available on the right side. The option will get displayed under the HTML section.

  3. Under the CSS description box, enter the required information you want on the letter template header.

  4. Click Save to customize the header format.

Customize the footer for the letter template

  1. On the Letter Options page, click the Footer tab. A form appears.

  2. Double-click the required option under the Name column from the table on the right side. The option will get displayed under the HTML section.

  3. Under the CSS description box, enter the required information you want on the letter template footer.

  4. Click Save to customize the header format.
