Configure reasons for applying leave

Updated in March- 2024 | Subscribe to watch greytHR how-to video

Whenever an employee applies for a leave, he/she must select a valid reason for the leave. Configuring reasons for applying leave refers to the process of setting up and customizing the options or categories for employees to select when they apply for leave. It involves defining the reasons or explanations that employees can choose from when requesting time off.

The Leave Reason page in the greytHR Admin portal allows you to configure various reasons in the application.
You can add the leave reason for multiple leave types and leave schemes. employees can then select these reasons from a dropdown list while applying for leave in their ESS portal. The page also displays the list of existing reasons.

To view the Leave Reason page, click the Settings icon > System Settings > Leave > Leave Reason.

⚠️ We recommend you to contact the greytHR support team before making any changes in settings.
