View shift rotation policy

A shift rotation calendar is a visual representation or schedule that displays the rotation of shifts for employees over a specific period. It provides an overview of when and how shifts are assigned or rotated among employees, allowing for better planning and coordination of work schedules.

The Shift Rotation Calendar page in the greytHR Admin portal enables you to view the shift rotation policy of employees. You can use the shift rotation calendar to change the shift of employees who fall under a particular policy for a selected date- for example; you can change the shift of employees who fall under the general policy from day shift to night shift for a particular date. The changes in the policy also affect the employees’ attendance.

To view the Shift Rotation Calendar page, click Leave > Setup > Shift Rotation Calendar.

Edit the shift rotation policy

To edit the shift rotation policy, perform the following actions:

  1. On the Shift Rotation Calendar page, from the Shift Rotation Plan dropdown filter, select the required policy.

  2. Click the < or > arrow to navigate to the required month in the calendar.

  3. Select a date from the calendar. A form appears on the right side of the page.

  4. From the Shift dropdown list, select the required shift for which you want to make changes.

  5. From the Day Type dropdown list, select the required day type.

  6. Click Save to update the selected shift type on the required date. A success message appears.
