Sometimes an employee may mark proxy attendance for another employee from the mobile application, and the organization is not able to take action. To avoid proxy attendance, you can now enable the greytHR DeviceDetect feature.Β

To start using the DeviceDetect feature, the first step is to enable the feature. The Advanced Options page in the greytHR Admin portal allows you to enable/disable the DeviceDetect feature for the employees. The page also displays various features which you can enable or disable.

To view the Advanced Options page, click the Settings icon > System Settings > Miscellaneous > Advanced Options.

To enable/disable the DeviceDetect feature for customers, perform the following actions:

  1. On the Advanced Options, from the Section dropdown list, select the All option.

  2. From the Search box, search and select/deselect the Mobile App DeviceDetect option.

  3. Click Save to enable/disable the selected feature.

Note: To disable the DeviceDetect feature, you must delete the DeviceDetect workflow.

After enabling the DeviceDetect option, you must configure the access rights as a second step.

Note: As an admin, you can manage and control the activities that a user can perform from the User Roles page. The page allows you to control the access for activities such as DeviceDetect and DeviceDetect Workflow List features.
