Form 12BA is a report that employers in India use to show the value of benefits given to employees, like housing allowance or medical reimbursements. Mapping Form 12BA components means connecting the salary parts and allowances to the right sections in the form to make sure the correct values are filled in.
The Form 12 BA Mapping page in the greytHR Admin portal allows you to map perquisite items to Form 12 BA items.
To view the Form 12 BA Mapping page, click the Settings icon > System Settings > Income Tax > Form 12BA Mapping.
To map Form 12BA components, perform the following actions:
On the Form 12 BA Mapping page, double-click a cell under the Form 12BA Item column to select the required option from the dropdown list.
From the Perquisite Item column, double-click the cell to select the required perquisite option from the dropdown list to map with the respective Form 12 BA item.
Click the ▶ arrow to add a recovery item to recover the perquisite. The page expands and displays the Recovery Item column.
From the Recovery Item column, double-click the cell to select the required recovery option from the dropdown list to map with the respective perquisite item.
Click Save. A success message appears.
Note: You can also add rows to the table by clicking the Add Row button to add a Form 12 BA item and map it with the perquisite item.
