Delegating workflow to an employee means assigning or entrusting specific tasks, responsibilities, or projects to that employee. When a supervisor or manager delegates workflow, they transfer the authority and accountability for completing certain work to the employee, while still maintaining overall oversight and accountability for the outcome.
The Workflow Delegates page in the greytHR Admin portal helps you to delegate the workflow to another reviewer. A workflow is generally delegated when the reviewer is unavailable to take any action due to leave or any other reason.
The page displays a list of employees to whom the workflow is delegated. You can also view the details such as Employee/User name, Work flow, From Date, To Date, and Delegatee name.
To view the Workflow Delegates page, click Workflow > Setup > Workflow Delegates.
To delegate workflow to an employee, perform the following actions:
On the Workflow Delegates page, click Add New. The form appears.
In the User section, using the select an employee search box, search for the employee on behalf of whom you want to delegate the workflow.
From the Workflow dropdown list, select the required work.
From the From Date and To Date dropdown calendar, select the duration for which you want to delegate the work.
In the Delegatee section, using the select an employee search box, search for the employee to whom you want to delegate the workflow.
Click Save to delegate workflow to the required employee.
Note: You can also edit or delete the delegated workflow record by clicking Edit or Delete icon.
