Updated inΒ July - 2024 |Β Subscribe to watch greytHR how-to video

Whenever your organization uses the method of signing in through mobile at the office location, some employees may mark attendance for another employee from the mobile app. This is called marking proxy attendance. In such cases, you as an admin might feel helpless. To prevent such malpractices, you can now enable greytHR's DeviceDetect feature.

Watch the following video to understand the feature:Β

The following steps outline how to start using the DeviceDetect feature:

  1. Admin Enables/Disables the DeviceDetect feature.

  2. Admin configures access rights for the DeviceDetect feature.

  3. Admin creates workflow levels for DeviceDetect.

  4. Admin activates the DeviceDetect workflow policy.

  5. Employees raise Device Change requests to mark attendance using the Mobile app.

  6. Admin reviews employee's DeviceDetect requests.

After taking appropriate action on the application, employees will receive an email informing them about the status of the request.

Note: It is crucial for the employees to update the mobile app for the DeviceDetect policy to be in effect. After defining the policy, you must send the intimation to employees for updating their ESS mobile app.Β

Once the app is updated and your employees try to sign in, they will view the Device Change screen. They can now raise a request for registering the device. After you approve the request, their current mobile devices will be automatically mapped to the greytHR database.
