Adding lock configuration for attendance activities refers to the process of setting up and configuring locks or restrictions specifically related to attendance-related activities within a system or software. The lock configuration ensures that certain attendance-related functions or settings cannot be accessed or modified without proper authorization.

The Lock Configuration page in the greytHR Admin portal allows you to lock attendance-related activities such as mass override and leave apply. You have the liberty to select any number of category types and lock them for some time and activate it when required.
The page displays the details such as From Date, To Date, Category, Effective Date, Updated By, and Updated Date. You can also view the Categories filter option and year dropdown list.

To view the Lock Configuration page, click Leave > Admin > Lock Configuration.

Add lock configuration

To add lock configuration, perform the following actions:

On the Lock Configuration page, click Add Lock Configuration. A form appears.
From the Category Type dropdown list, select the required category type.
Note: You can select one or more category types.
From the From Date and To Date dropdown calendars, select the duration for which you want to lock the required category.
From the Effective Date dropdown calendar, select the required date.
Click Save to save the attendance lock configuration details. A success message appears.

Note: You can also edit/delete the lock configuration details using the Edit/Delete icons on the required row.
