Payslips can now be viewed and downloaded in a refreshed UI that has been designed to offer a balanced and unified experience. A cleaner and more consistent layout has been introduced to improve usability.
For customers who have enabled Cleartax in the Unite Marketplace, a highlighted indicator is now being shown on the mobile app. This enhancement has been added to guide users more easily to the Cleartax section.
Currency codes and symbols across the mobile app have been aligned with those displayed on the ESS web portal. This update has been made to ensure clarity and consistency in areas where financial information is shown.
We introduced the BPJS Contribution Agent and the BPJS Contributions Picker Agent to simplify payroll configuration for Indonesian companies. These agents automatically calculate and apply BPJS Kesehatan (Health) and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Employment) contributions based on employee eligibility and contribution rules. Admins can now configure contributions more accurately and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. This marks a significant step in scaling greytHR’s capabilities for the Indonesian market.
We added several new statutory reports to support region-specific compliance needs. These include wage registers, muster rolls, annual returns, and deduction logs - helping payroll administrators meet diverse Indian state and central labour regulations with ease and accuracy.
Form 25: Muster roll and register of compensatory Holiday - Tamil Nadu
Form 28: Muster Roll - Gujarat
Form I: Register of Wages, Overtime, Fine, Deductions
Form V: Wage Slip - Haryana
Form XXIX: Register of Advances and Deductions (CLRA)
We’ve introduced 2FA to boost login security across the platform. Admins can now enable 2FA for fellow admins, choosing delivery via SMS or Email. Enhanced workflows ensure that new, returning, and password-resetting users are guided through secure OTP verification. These settings are configurable from the Advanced Options panel in System Settings.
This helps prevent unauthorized access and data breaches, strengthening customer trust. It also ensures compliance with growing industry standards for secure authentication.
Admins needed a faster way to pull final performance ratings across multiple review cycles for further analysis or operations.
A new Consolidated Reviews Report is now available in the Performance Management section.
Select multiple past and active review cycles (draft and cancelled ones are excluded).
Filter employees just like in the existing reports.
Download all final ratings in a standardized format like this sample report.
Perfect for combining performance data across time in one clean export.
Admins needed more control over the level of detail and status of reviews included in reports.
The Reviews report now includes two new checkboxes for better customization:
✅ Generate Detailed Report – Get all ratings and comments instead of just summaries.
✅ Include In-Progress Reviews – Include reviews that are still underway, not just published ones.
Choose one or both options depending on your needs.
This upgrade gives HR teams more insight and flexibility—from high-level summaries to in-depth reviews, all in one place.
Admins can enable auto-approval for leave requests applied by managers or admins on behalf of employees. This optional setting speeds up processing, cuts down workflow steps, and maintains full audit transparency.
Adds a new dropdown Attendance Status to Include in Summary Count under the Shift Summary Report settings. Admins can choose to count only ‘Present’ employees or include all statuses (default: All). Options are dynamically fetched based on tenant-specific active attendance statuses. Applies to both on-screen and exported reports; configurable per tenant without impacting others.
This enhancement introduces a Close Ticket action for Admin users in the Helpdesk module, with the existing Accept and Reject options. The feature allows admins to finalize tickets that require no further action, helping maintain a cleaner, more organized ticketing system. It includes safeguards like confirmation prompts, audit logging, user notifications, and restrictions to prevent re-closing already resolved tickets.
This feature enables HR admins to include Hobby and Caste as optional text fields during employee onboarding. These fields will appear under the personal information section, stored in the employee profile, and visible in the onboarding review workflow. Post-submission, the data will be accessible in the ESS profile, employee directory and be available in downloadable QB reports, ensuring consistent visibility and data integrity across modules.
This enhancement increases the record entry limit from 5 to 20 for Qualifications and Previous Employment sections during employee self-onboarding. It allows new employees to comprehensively document their background. All entries will be visible in the onboarding workflow, verified by admins, and reflected accurately in the employee profile, ESS portal, and relevant reports, including Query Builder reports.
This update extends the character limit of the Reason for Leaving field from 10 to 150 characters in the Previous Employment section of the Employee Onboarding form. It allows admins to document more detailed and meaningful reasons for an employee's prior departure. The enhanced field supports accurate data capture and accurately displays across all relevant views, including employee profile, admin panel, and HR reports.
HR admins can now bulk upload review questions to the PMS Library with a simple spreadsheet. Here's how it works:
Upload a file with two required fields: Question Group and Question.
The system validates entries—missing fields or duplicate questions trigger helpful error messages.
New questions are added to existing groups, or new groups are created if needed
Until now, users needed voting rights without being able to create polls, but both actions were tied together.
Voting and poll creation permissions are now separate:
Voting now depends on View Poll permission.
Creating polls still requires Create Poll permission.
Users with both permissions can create and vote as usual.
This change gives admins more control over who can vote vs. who can create, avoiding unnecessary access.
In multi-level job approval workflows, secondary and subsequent reviewers can now view comments provided by previous reviewers. This enhancement ensures better context, informed decision-making, and improved collaboration throughout the approval process.
The feature was frequently requested by users to reduce misalignment, redundant reviews, and communication gaps.
Say goodbye to downloading resumes one by one.
With the new Download Centre, recruiters can download multiple resumes at once while the files are prepared in the background. It’s a faster, smoother way to review and share resumes without slowing down your workflow.

Managers and employees assigned as job approvers can now view and take action on pending job approvals directly from the Employee Self Service (ESS) portal. This enhancement simplifies the approval process, reduces navigation effort, and ensures faster turnaround by bringing approvals to the user’s primary workspace.
The Shift Roster Upload for Managers feature enables managers to import and update shift schedules for their direct reports using an Excel importer in Manager ESS. Admins can enable access through role settings by assigning the new “Shift Roster Importer – Manager” option, while the existing admin importer is renamed for clarity. Managers can access the feature under Leave → Information → Shift Roster or through the Excel Importer, upload a predefined Excel file, and update shifts only for their team. The system ensures validations similar to the admin flow, enabling efficient and controlled shift management.
The Flexi Shift/Overstay module allows admins to configure flexible shift timings and overstay rules. It dynamically maps swipe data to the appropriate workday and adjusts attendance based on gaps and overstay logic. Managers gain real-time visibility into attendance patterns for better decision-making. The system ensures accurate payroll processing and supports diverse scheduling needs across industries.
This feature enables employees, managers, and admins to view their remaining monthly permission hours directly while applying. Activated through a new setting in Attendance Options, it displays current usage and balance (e.g., 1/2 | 01h/10h) within the dropdown, along with tooltips for daily and weekly limits. A Permission Balance button opens a modal showing detailed usage insights with filters and visual charts. It improves transparency and removes the need for manual calculations.
Admins and managers can now reject swipes from all capture methods—Geo-Fencing, Biometric, Kiosk, and more—directly on the Swipes page. Configurable rules, audit logs, and tooltip statuses ensure accurate attendance and stronger compliance.
Now you can see exactly how much time has passed since you logged in — no mental math needed! The app automatically calculates your total hours worked and shows how much time remains until your shift ends. Let the app do the tracking while you stay focused on your day.
Skip the hassle of downloading files just to take a quick look. With our new in-app PDF viewer, you can now open and view PDF documents directly within the mobile app — faster, simpler, and more seamless than ever.
To maintain data integrity and avoid duplicate contact information, the system should alert admins when a mobile number entered for an employee is already in use by another employee. This non-blocking (soft) warning ensures admins are informed without disrupting workflow, allowing them to make necessary corrections or proceed as needed.
To ensure accurate time tracking across various regions in Indonesia, the greytHR application should support two additional time zones UTC+08:00 (Asia/Nusantara) and UTC+09:00 (Asia/Manokwari), alongside the existing UTC+07:00 (Asia/Jakarta). This will allow employees and admins to select the appropriate local time zone, ensuring system-wide accuracy in work hours, attendance, and task management.
To enable more detailed and structured address collection, a new optional "District" field will be added across all relevant address sections in the Employee Profile and Onboarding process. This field will be editable by both HR admins and employees, and included in reports, Excel importer, to support downstream use cases requiring district-level address data.
To improve accessibility and reduce HR/Admin dependency, resigned employees with 'NULL' passwords in SSO/SAML should be allowed to reset their passwords via the “Forgot Password” option on the Alumni Portal. The system should support secure password regeneration through personal email or OTP-based verification, even when no existing password is present. This enhancement ensures seamless self-service access for alumni while maintaining security and audit compliance.
The Calibration feature in Reviews brings consistency and fairness to performance evaluations by adjusting for reviewer bias and aligning ratings with organizational standards. It ensures that review scores reflect true contributions, leading to more accurate talent insights and better-informed decisions.
HR Admins can now tailor permission-related email alerts via the Event Notification module—adding CEOs, customizing CCs, and applying filters. This gives sharper control and freedom to configure templates as per client's needs.
Our GCP-based livestage environments are fronted by Cloud HTTP(S) Load Balancers (an equivalent to AWS ALB) paired with the Google Cloud Armor WAF. This change will allow us to:
Terminate TLS at the LB
Enforce WAF rules (e.g., OWASP CRS) before traffic hits our services
Offload SSL processing for better performance
To optimize costs and gain better performance, we have migrated our caching layer from a RedisLab-managed cluster to Dragonfly cluster. Dragonfly’s memory efficiency and protocol compatibility make it a perfect fit. We estimate a monthly savings of $2,000 once fully cut over.

We anticipate rolling this out to staging by mid-June and to prod by the end of the month.
Some microservices still depend on custom in-house functions incompatible with managed database instances. We’ve mapped out these dependencies and are replacing them with built-in SQL functions or standardized library calls. This cleanup will allow a full transition to managed DBs without relying on legacy workarounds. Estimated completion: late July.
We have completed creating the revamped content for the Core HR, Payroll, Leave, and Attendance modules within the Admin section.
The user stories for Manual Navigation and Bella, the AI-powered search bot, have been concluded under the KB Redesign initiative.
We have successfully published videos under Core HR, covering Onboarding, Employee Information, 360° Feedback, Engagement, Communication, and Letters, and under Attendance, including Attendance Schemes and Policies, User Roles, and Attendance Capturing Methods.
