Debug mobile app performance using Diagnostic Logs option

Updated inย March- 2024 |ย Subscribe to watch greytHR how-to video

The greytHR mobile app is designed to provide convenient and efficient access to various human resources and payroll management functions through mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.

While using an application, users can face certain issues such as auto logout issues, login issues, and logout issues. Sometimes an app can crash and it is important to capture error logs so that developers can diagnose the issue and fix it.

The Advanced Options page in the greytHR Admin portal allows you as an admin to enable the Diagnostic Logs option in the ESS portal. Once you enable the option, whenever an employee is facing an issue, they can switch on the diagnostic logs for the benefit of developers. Once the device captures errors in logs, developers can read the logs and debug the issues in the ESS portal. This facilitates quick resolutions for app issues.

To view the Advanced Options page, click the Settings icon > System Settings > Miscellaneous > Advanced Options.

โš ๏ธ We recommend you to contact the greytHR support team before making any changes in settings.

Enable Diagnostic Logs option

To enable the Diagnostic Logs option, perform the following actions:

  1. On the Advanced Options pages, in the Search text box, enter Diagnostic Logs.

  2. In the table, under the Value column, select the checkbox available next to Diagnostic Logs.

  3. Click Save to enable the Diagnostic Logs option. A success message appears. Employees can now view the diagnostic option in their Employee Portal.

Note: You can always deselect the checkbox to disable the option.
