In any organization, managers often identify the need for new roles or additional team members based on immediate business requirements. Managers must have the ability to directly raise job requisitions, as they are closest to the operational needs. This ensures:
Timely identification of staffing needs: Managers can address gaps or growing team demands without delays.
Streamlined communication: Providing recruiters with clear, detailed job requisitions reduces back-and-forth.
To meet this critical need, greytHR allows a manager to raise job requisitions directly through Recruit. The manager is assigned as the Hiring Manager in Recruit, ensuring continuity and clarity throughout the hiring process.
Managers can directly raise job requests from their ESS portal. By default, the manager role comes with the permission to raise job requests enabled. As an admin, you can customize the job requisition option to any other role or user as per your company's requirements.
To do this, from the greytHR Admin portal, go to Settings > User Administration > User > User Roles.
Select the Manager role card and click the Edit icon.
From the Category dropdown, select Recruitment.
Enable read and write access for the Request a new job position option.
Click Save.
Note:Â
Enabling a role to add a new job displays the Request New Job option in their respective ESS portal.

3. Submit for approval:
After completing the form, proceed to the Approval Workflow.
Review the approval chain set in Recruit and click Send for Approval to submit the requisition.
Exit the form after submission.
4. Approval Process:
The system triggers the approval workflow, ensuring the requisition is reviewed by the necessary stakeholders.
Once approved, the manager is assigned as the Hiring Manager in Recruit to oversee the job posting and subsequent hiring process.
